$3M investment in northwest Pa. senior community centers unveiled

Pennsylvania Department of Aging Secretary Jason Kavulich visited Erie County to announce a $3 million investment in the state’s Senior Community Center grant program, with several local facilities receiving funding for improvements and services.

The funding includes $2 million in competitive grants for larger projects and $1 million in non-competitive grants for smaller needs such as equipment and supplies. The money supports efforts to help older adults stay healthy and connected in their communities.

Competitive grants fund larger-scale projects including facility modernization, new health and entertainment programs, technology upgrades and enhanced nutrition services.
