After two days of hazardous and very poor air quality, conditions are beginning to improve across the Erie area. However, officials are still urging residents to use caution while spending time outdoors.
Due to the poor air quality, swimming was limited to Beaches 6 and 8 at Presque Isle State Park on Saturday. Park officials said the decision was made to protect the health and safety of lifeguards, park rangers, staff, and visitors.
