A day on the water helped support local families in need as paddlers gathered at Pat Crawford Beach in Edinboro for a unique fundraising event.
Oars on the Shore brought participants to Pat Crawford Beach on Sunday afternoon for a poker run on the water before benefiting Boro Women and Family Services.
Non-profit holds scrap drop off to help kids
Paddlers traveled between five volunteer checkpoints to build poker hands, with prizes ranging from local gift cards to outdoor equipment.
Organizers said proceeds from the event will help support the nonprofit’s mission of providing services and resources to women and families throughout the community.
