The vision for a new shipyard on Erie’s bayfront has been introduced to Washington, as U.S. Representatives Mike Kelly and Nathaniel Moran of Texas proposed legislation aimed at attracting investment to maritime communities.
The Shipbuilding Investment and Workforce Act was introduced Thursday, with a goal of strengthening America’s shipbuilding industry by encouraging private investment in maritime manufacturing.
