For over 30 years, the Erie Blues and Jazz Festival has brought live music to Frontier Park, welcoming local, regional, and nationally recognized performers.
What began as a ‘grassroots event’ in the early 90’s has grown into one of Erie’s classic summer traditions, with the weekend drawing thousands of music lovers from across the region.

“It first started in 1992, John Vanco and the Erie Art Museum brought people together for the first time, and it just kinda grew after that,” said Tim Bruno, the Board Chair for the Erie Blues and Jazz Fest.
While the crowds have grown over the years, organizers said the goal has stayed the same— creating a place where neighbors, families, and friends can gather. Organizers said the music may bring people here, but it’s the community that’s built this festival into a tradition more than three decades strong…
