Stay out of the water: High rip current risk on Lake Erie

CLEVELAND (WJW) — Swimmers are being urged to stay out of Lake Erie as dangerous swimming conditions continue along Northeast Ohio’s shoreline Monday.

The National Weather Service issued a Beach Hazards Statement for Erie, Lorain, Cuyahoga, Lake and Ashtabula due to a high risk of rip currents.
