The Erie man at the center of what the ANNA Shelter called one of their most heinous cruelty cases, where a dog named Mimi was found with zip ties around her legs and left in the cold, pleaded guilty and was sentenced Tuesday.
According to the Erie County District Attorney’s Office, 63-year-old Roy King of Harborcreek pleaded guilty to two counts of felony aggravated cruelty to animals, the two lead charges in his case.
King was charged after police said Mimi was found clinging to life by Pennsylvania State Police and brought to the ANNA Shelter on March 2, bound by zip ties so tight that they cut off her circulation in both sets of legs, with multiple infections, covered in urine and left for dead…
