HORSEHEADS, NY (WENY) — A veterans-focused non-profit organization is preparing for an upcoming trip to Washington, DC to thank veterans for their service.
Warriors to Washington has been taking veterans on a free trip to our nation’s capital for more than a decade. Based out of Erie, Pennsylvania, the group is now expanding its reach to the Twin Tiers.
In September, the group will take a bus of post 9/11 veterans on a trip to Washington, DC to see the sights and memorials, as a way to say thank you for their service to our country. The trip is held annually in September, to commemorate the anniversary of the 2001 attacks…
