City of Erie police are investigating after a man was stabbed in the chest early Monday morning.
Police responded to the Speed Check on West 18th Street around 1:20 when a 31-year-old man walked into the gas station saying he had been stabbed.

The victim had a stab wound to his left chest and told police the incident happened around the 1900-2000 block of Poplar Street when a masked man approached him and stabbed him.
Police are now asking the public for any surveillance from that area from last night.
