The average price for a gallon of a gas moved only slightly at the national level since last week, but state and local averages saw a more noticeable jump. According to AAA, Monday’s national average at the pump was $4.13 per gallon, which is a fraction of a cent higher compared to last Monday. In New York, the statewide average is also $4.13, but went up by nearly six cents. And Chautauqua County’s average went up by more than 10 cents to $4.10. One year ago, the national and statewide averages were $3.20 and $3.11, respectively.
