Firefighters Battle Blaze at Falconer Apartment Building

Chautauqua County fire investigators are looking into the cause of a Saturday morning fire at an apartment building in the Village of Falconer. According to county dispatchers, the fire was reported shortly after 7:30 AM at the Rose Apartments at 337 West Main Street. Falconer Fire received mutual aid from Kennedy, Kiantone, Fluvanna and Gerry. County Fire Police also responded to the area. The Red Cross is assisting one adult and one child who have been impacted by the blaze. A portion of West Main Street between Tiffany Avenue and Phetteplace Street will be closed for most of the day, according to Falconer Fire.
