Protecting New York Pets One Rabies Shot at a Time

The New York Chautauqua County Health Department will be hosting four free rabies vaccination clinics. These clinics will be made possible through a partnership between the County Health Department and the Town of Westfield, Northern Chautauqua Canine Rescue, Chautauqua County Humane Society, The Pet Pantry, and Lakeshore Humane Society.

Information for the clinics can be found below:

  • May 16: From 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. at the Town of Westfield Highway Department
  • May 30: From 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. at the Chautauqua County Humane Society
  • June 6: From 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. at the Lakeshore Humane Society
  • June 20: From 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. at the Chautauqua County Humane Society.

To be eligible for this event dogs, cats, and even ferrets must be at least three months of age. Pet owners must pre-register online here to schedule an appointment.

Prior vaccination records must be provided to determine if pets are eligible for a three-year booster. All dogs at the clinic must be leashed, cats a ferrets should be kept in individual carriers. Animals will be transported to the veterinarian by trained animal handlers…
