(WJET/WFXP)– The SCI Cambridge Springs corrections officer accused of sexually assaulting an inmate several times appeared in Crawford County court on Wednesday.
According to the Crawford County District Attorney’s Office, 49-year-old James Morris of Centerville waived his preliminary hearing before Magisterial District Judge Lincoln Zalhaver, binding all charges over to court.

Morris was charged with through the Prison Rape Elimination Act in March by state police after an inmate accused him of assaulting her three times in July 2025.
He’s facing two counts of felony aggravated indecent assault without consent, along with one count of felony institutional sexual assault, criminal attempt at institutional sexual assault, and aggravated indecent assault by forcible compulsion, along with misdemeanor indecent assault by forcible compulsion, indecent assault without consent, criminal attempt at indecent assault by forcible compulsion, criminal attempt at indecent assault without consent and indecent exposure…
