City of Erie announces multi-million dollar summer paving plan

The City of Erie is moving forward with its summer paving plan to smooth out city streets.

Jason Sayers, the city’s public works director, said the city is spending $2.5 million on this year’s summer street paving plan.

Nearby stations hit $4.99 a gallon as gas continues to rise

He said they’re paving about 8 to 10 miles of road, split between Erie’s east and west side.

To figure out which streets to repair, they’re using a mixture of technology, public input and in-person surveying to map out their plan…
