Multiple Fallen Trees Hit Local Neighborhoods

Emergency calls have been nonstop across the county as strong winds brought down trees and large branches from one end of the region to the other.

Calls began on Asauburn Street on Erie’s west side, then moved to Norman Way in the city of Erie, where a large crabapple tree came crashing down.

Crews were also sent south to Hamot Road, where sizable branches fell, and to West 41st Street. Additional trouble spots included Sunset Boulevard near Mercyhurst University, Raspberry Street on the west side, and Old French Road, among others…
