Tualatin, Tigard athletes show out at state track and field championships

It was a pretty good day for Tualatin and Tigard track and field athletes.

The Tualatin boys won the team competition, Tigard’s Marissa Johnson made history, and Paul Hretcanu successfully defended his title in what was a banner day for Timberwolf and Tiger athletes at the OSAA 6A State Track & Field Championships held at Hayward Field in Eugene.

Tualatin’s team title run was led by senior sprinter Auralleus Hicks who won the 100 meters, placed second in the 200, and anchored the Wolves’ winning 4×400 relay team (Rowan Hampson, Cole Hachmeister, Ethan Coddington), along with their 4×100 relay team (Coddington, Hachmeister, and Johnathan Baker) that placed second…
