EUGENE, Ore. – The University of Oregon will close at least one dorm next year as fewer students choose to live on campus.
The university expects a nine to 10 percent decrease in on-campus housing. University Housing sent a letter to full-time housing staff Tuesday, informing them Barnhart Hall will close and Riley Hall will only be occupied if needed.
Staff at those two halls will be reassigned to other facilities. Students currently living in the dorms are reacting to the news…
