As weekend heat settles across parts of western Oregon, residents in Lane, Linn and Benton counties have several options for cooling centers and other places to escape high temperatures.
In Lane County, the Downtown Eugene Library on West 10th Avenue will be open all weekend, along with Saint Vincent de Paul’s Eugene Service Station off Highway 99. Water fountains and splash pads will be open every day of the week.
In Springfield, the only weekend option listed is the Springfield Public Library on Fifth Street. In Florence, the Siuslaw Library on Ninth Street is the only place open this weekend…
