MOHAWK VALLEY, Ore. – Firefighters stopped a house fire from spreading after flames heavily engulfed a home and nearby trees on Sunday, according to Mohawk Valley Fire and Rescue District officials.
District officials said fire crews responded to the fire near Wendling Road and Paschelke Road just before noon on June 14. The on-duty engine arrived and had water on the fire in less than 10 minutes. Crews found the home heavily engulfed in flames with fire spreading to surrounding trees. Firefighters quickly stopped the fire from spreading further and brought it under control in about an hour.
