Fatal fire at Eugene fourplex leaves one dead, another hospitalized
The first crew to arrive found heavy fire coming from one unit of a two-story fourplex in Eugene’s Churchill neighborhood. Firefighters encountered difficult conditions inside the building while searching for victims and battling the flames, prompting officials to call for a second alarm.
One occupant suffered serious injuries and was transported to PeaceHealth Sacred Heart Medical Center at RiverBend. Another occupant was found dead at the scene, fire officials said.(Loren Ruark/SBG)…
