A Eugene man was cited after a pickup collided with a grain silo on Saturday evening.
A Douglas County Sheriff’s Office report said at 8:15 p.m. a deputy responded to the single vehicle crash in the 1400 block of Goodrich Highway in the Oakland area. The deputy arrived on the scene and observed that the vehicle had gone through the grain silo in the 1100 block of Goodrich Road. The driver, a 26-year-old, stated that he had just left a wedding nearby and was out drunk driving around.
The man stated that he did not anticipate the curve in the roadway and just continued straight into the structure. The driver and a passenger were not injured. The man completed standard field sobriety tests which he reportedly performed poorly. He was transported to corrections and provided a breath sample with a blood alcohol level of 0.14 percent…
