A Dallas woman died in a three-vehicle crash on Highway 58 near Rattlesnake Road east of Pleasant Hill on July 27.
A gray Mazda 3 sedan operated by Leilani Jana’i Barto, 18, was attempting to pass eastbound traffic and collided head-on with a westbound Toyota Highlander SUV driven by Arthur Allen Corliss, 74, of Eugene, according to the Oregon State Police. The Highlander was then struck by a westbound Kenworth semi-truck and trailer, driven by Anthony Richard Luna, 38, of Sutherlin.
First responders arrived at the scene just before 5:30 p.m. to find Barto dead. Corliss was transported to a local hospital with severe injuries and Luna was not injured…
