Citing forecasted high winds and low relative humidity, the National Weather Service issued a red flag wildfire warning for parts of Lane County and the southern Willamette Valley.
The warning runs Monday, Aug. 3, from 1-8 p.m. Forecasters issue a red flag warning when weather conditions pose an increased threat of rapidly spreading wildfire.
Forecasters expect northerly winds of 10 to 15 mph with gusts up to 25 mph through the afternoon, along with relative humidity as low as 20 to 25 percent.
