A person riding a bicycle on Interstate 5 early Sept. 9 in Linn County was killed in a crash, Oregon State Police said Thursday. Ryan Lee Bird, of Eugene, was riding his bicycle around 1:20 a.m. in the slow lane of northbound I-5 near milepost 214, north of Harrisburg, when the driver of an 18-wheeler commercial truck hit him from behind, state police said.
