Pedestrian seriously injured in early morning crash in Eugene

EUGENE, Ore. — A pedestrian suffered life-threatening injuries after being struck by a vehicle early Tuesday morning on the Northwest Expressway in Eugene, authorities said.

Lane County Sheriff’s deputies and fire personnel responded to the crash around 3 a.m. near North Park Avenue. The driver of a Chevrolet Cobalt sedan called emergency services and remained at the scene.
