Stabbing victim hospitalized in Eugene, suspect at large

EUGENE, Ore. – Police are investigating after someone was stabbed near Washington Street and West 12th Avenue on Wednesday night, according to the Eugene Police Department.

EPD officials said that officers received a call about the stabbing on April 22 at 9:43 p.m. When they arrived, they found the victim and gave emergency medical help until Eugene Springfield Fire took over and transported the person to a local hospital. Lane County Sheriff’s Office and Oregon State Police responded with K9s to help search for a suspect. No one was found.

Eugene Police Violent Crimes Unit is investigating the case. Officers advised drivers to avoid northbound Washington Street from 12th to 11th Alley while they searched the area. The road reopened at 12:54 a.m…
