Harrisburg man dies in single-vehicle crash on Highway 99

JUNCTION CITY, Ore. – A 24-year-old Harrisburg man died of injuries related to a crash that happened early on Sunday morning near Junction City, according to the Oregon State Police.

OSP officials said they responded at 2:30 a.m. on April 19 to a single-vehicle crash on Highway 99 East near milepost 32. Initially reported as a damaged power pole, responding investigators arrived to find a heavily-damaged BMW 135 in a ditch. The vehicle’s driver, identified as Tyler Raymond Caseri, was reportedly seriously injured, police said. Authorities said Caseri was transported to a local hospital where he later died of his injuries. Speed and impairment are believed to be contributing factors in the crash, state police officials said. OSP said the vehicle was possibly a matching suspect vehicle that had allegedly eluded an Oregon State Trooper at speeds more than 100 miles per hour in the same area less than an hour before the crash…
