In court, Eugene Emergency Physicians slam planned PeaceHealth ER changes

Eugene Emergency Physicians and additional plaintiffs had their first day in court April 27 over a lawsuit against PeaceHealth, ApolloMD, ApolloMD Business Services and Lane Emergency Physicians to stop contract changes in Lane County’s PeaceHealth emergency departments.

The planned contract changes would replace EEP with Lane Emergency Physicians, an LLC owned and fully operated by an Illinois physician and managed by Georgia-based ApolloMD.

The litigation is the first test of Oregon’s Senate Bill 951, which prohibits management services organizations from managing a clinic’s administrative needs while also making patient care decisions…
