This time in the college football calendar becomes the biggest stretch for recruiting, especially with the elimination of the spring Transfer Portal window. Dan Lanning has made it a yearly tradition to sign a top 5 recruiting class in the country, and as the Oregon Ducks continue to push for a National Championship, stacking that level of talent is pivotal.
As things currently stand, Oregon holds the Nation’s 9th ranked recruiting class, and the 3rd ranked class in the Big Ten. While Dan Lanning and his staff still have to climb to sign another elite recruiting class, with the official visit season well underway, the commitments should continue to roll in for this staff.

The biggest concern with the current construction of Oregon’s recruiting class would be the fact that the Ducks haven’t landed a pass catcher while only having a single skill player committed on offense. That should only change for the Ducks, and rather quickly, given how well the staff has positioned themselves with some of the top recruits at the wide receiver position.
