Springfield resident faces child exploitation charges

SPRINGFIELD, Ore. – Lane County Sheriff’s detectives arrested a 21-year-old man on child sex abuse charges after responding to a home on Camp Creek Road, according to the Lane County Sheriff’s Office.

LCSO officials said that detectives contacted and arrested Rowan Augustus Hockema at a residence in the 38000 block of Camp Creek Road around 9 a.m. on May 19. Hockema was booked into the Lane County Jail on two counts of encouraging child sex abuse in the first degree and two counts of encouraging child sex abuse in the second degree. The investigation started after the Lane County Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force received a cyber tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
