EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) – A man is in jail after police say he tried running from officers during a traffic stop.
It happened Thursday night just after 7 p.m. in the northbound lanes of I69. Officers say they pulled over a car with an obstructed license plate. They say shortly after, a passenger door opened.
Police say Toryon White, 23, stepped out and jumped the guardrail. Officers say they knew White had two active felony warrants for his arrest. They say he continued running into a wooded area, but he was arrested a short time later…
