HENDERSON, Ky. (WFIE) – Henderson Municipal Power and Light, along with its subcontractor, 5 Star Electric, is doing a reconductoring project that includes removal and replacement of a number of power poles.
They are being replaced to accommodate larger conductor size and updating load requirements. This project also includes the removal of existing transmission lines and replacing with upgraded transmission lines which are designed to increase transmission capacity and improve system performance.
For the week of June 8, work will continue to focus on portions of their Phase 2 project, which runs from South Green Street / Sand Lane intersection heading east on Sand Lane to Madison Street…
