EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) — A popular east side bar and grill is turning a page on a new chapter. The Stockwell Inn celebrated its grand reopening after more than a month of renovations and a change in ownership.
The future of the bar was in question after road closures negatively impacted business. Once the owners listed property for sale, this lead regular customers believes it was the beginning of the end for their favorite east side staple.
“We’re more concerned about when you couldn’t get down Stockwell Road,” regular customer Tom Falkanstein said. “For a long time traffic stopped going down this direction.”…
