Drunk driver found trying to change tire after crashing into building, EPD says

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) – Evansville police say they found a hit-and-run driver attempting to change his tire after he crashed into a building.

Around 5 p.m. Friday, EPD says officers were dispatched to the Caldwell Homes at Cross Street and South Linwood Avenue after a driver wrecked into a building then left the scene.

Police say they found the driver, Brandon Williams, 32, a few blocks away with heavy damage to his vehicle.

When police found Williams, they say he was trying to change a tire on his SUV. They say the vehicle’s airbags had also been deployed…
