Burdette Park
Happy 90th birthday to Burdette Park in Evansville, one of the tri-state’s most popular (and durable) attractions. For nine decades, it’s been one of the region’s favorite summertime destinations, welcoming generations of swimmers.
But Burdette Park also knows how to scare the crap out of us, and I am here for it. In 2024, the park debuted “Fright Night,” a terrifying walk through the park that ended with a showing of the original Friday the 13th from 1980.
After taking 2025 off, Fright Night returns this fall to one of the tri-state’s favorite destinations…
