EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) – A 19-year-old Evansville man was arrested Tuesday afternoon after police say he stole an SUV, fled from detectives, and caused a crash.
Jonquel Landers faces multiple charges, including vehicle theft, resisting law enforcement, and leaving the scene of an injury accident, according to a police report.
An Evansville Police Department detective first spotted the stolen vehicle around 2:58 p.m. Tuesday traveling down Washington Avenue. The detective noted two people inside, including the driver, who was wearing a pink shower cap.
