EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) – An Evansville man has been arrested in connection with a fire that heavily damaged an abandoned building on North Fourth Avenue last month.
The Evansville Fire Department says 45-year-old Richard Lee Perkins Jr. was arrested following a joint investigation by the department’s Fire Investigation Bureau and the Evansville Police Department.
Perkins is facing an arson charge and two counts of criminal recklessness in connection with the fire. Officials say he is also facing additional charges related to a separate incident.
