HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) — The Theatre Workshop of Owensboro is asking for the community’s help in repairing major damage to their theatre.
According to TWO officials, the blue velvet curtains in the audience chamber of the Empress Theatre had fallen, bringing plaster and lighting fixtures down with them and causing damage to seats and the flooring below. No one was injured, but officials say repairs will be lengthy and costly.
Because of the damage, Empress Theatre will be closed to undergo repairs until further notice. The workshop will release updates as plans for the scheduled shows and events are finalized…
