Affidavit: Former Newburgh woman pretends to be attorney, charged in another fraud case

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WFIE) – A woman with ties to the Tri-State is facing charges in yet another fraud case.

This time, 42-year-old Katherine Jackson, formally of Newburgh, is accused of pretending to be a federal attorney and taking almost $40,000 in made-up fees.

Court documents show she pretended to represent a family in a Fort Wayne Neighborhood Code enforcement case.

They show Jackson also caused them to miss eight hearings- each with a $300 fine…
