Chick-Fil-A Starts GoFundMe for Owensboro Employee

OWENSBORO, Ky. (WEHT) — A car accident in Owensboro has left a beloved fast food worker with a fractured spine. Chick-Fil-A and the community are hoping a GoFundMe will make Adam English’s recovery a little easier.

English was headed to his work shift at Chick-Fil-A, when he collided with the car in front of him. He says he was dazed for a few seconds before he realized he couldn’t move anything below his neck.

“I was gonna check on the kids in the car and check on the car in front of me, and then I realized I couldn’t move. Realizing you can’t move, and you can only move your neck and speak, It was kind of frightening. But then the first person that come on my mind was God, you know? God is is always there and always near when you call onto him. It changes the whole aspect of how you feel,” says English.

His love for God and people has won over a lot of hearts in Owensboro, including the company he works for. Mark Whiteman, the owner of Chick-Fil-A Owensboro, describes English as positive and dedicated before announcing their commitment to helping Adam’s family.
