New Una-style pizza spot opens on Diamond Avenue

EVANSVILLE – Evansville loves pizza, and another good “Una-style” pizza place has just opened on Diamond Avenue.

K’s Pizza is in the former Charlie’s Mongolian Grill and Poke Pirate building. It opened in mid-November. Kacie Riley is the owner, and all the employees are part of her family. Here are some things to know about K’s Pizza.

A little history

Riley has been in food service for many years, first as a server for Don and Lynette Schneider at The Hilltop Inn, and later as a prep cook and then manager at Sam’s Pizzeria, where she worked for three years.

Fast forward to the present and she decided she wanted to own her own pizza restaurant. At K’s, she’s trying to maintain an old-fashioned Mom and Pop atmosphere. The employees don’t wear uniforms, and she’d like customers to feel like they’re at home when they come in to eat. They still hand-write the tickets and strive to build friendly relationships with regular customers and welcome new customers in with a family feel. New to Riley are a dining area with plentiful seating and a spacious parking area, and she’s looking to fill them up.
