WADESVILLE, Ind. (WEVV) — A Wadesville fire apparatus was involved in a rollover crash Saturday afternoon while responding to a structure fire, temporarily taking the vehicle out of service and sending four firefighters to the hospital for precautionary evaluation, according to the Wadesville Center Township Volunteer Fire Department.
The incident happened at approximately 2:30 p.m. on April 11, when Engine 3, a Wadesville Center Township fire apparatus, was traveling westbound on Springfield Road near Highway 69 en route to a reported structure fire.
According to the department, the right rear tire of the apparatus left the roadway. The driver attempted to regain control using standard defensive driving techniques, but was unable to correct the vehicle’s path. The engine continued approximately 300 feet before coming to rest on its right side…
