HENDERSON, Ky. (WEVV) — Henderson officials are using specialized mobile vehicle barriers at Tri-Fest intersections to enhance safety for festival-goers.
The barriers are positioned at the intersections of 1st and 2nd Streets through a partnership with the Evansville Police Department. Each unit weighs 53 pounds, allowing officers to deploy or move them quickly, but they are engineered to stop vehicles weighing up to 16,500 pounds.
