Evansville Police issue warning about ‘Orbeez Guns’

HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT)- The Evansville Police Department is warning people about “Orbeez guns” being used in public.

The toy-style gel blasters are designed for kids, but EPD says they can still cause injury and property damage, and have the potential to be mistaken for a real firearm in public settings, creating safety concerns. EPD says the use of these items to shoot at others, vehicles, or homes, or engage in “play fights” could lead to criminal charges, including disorderly conduct, battery, criminal mischief, intimidation, and potential City Ordinance violations. Authorities also stress not to shoot at people who have not agreed to participate.
