EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) – The Evansville Fire Department is now working to learn what started an early morning fire on the city’s east side.
The call went out around 9:00 a.m. Saturday for a report of a structure fire in the 400 block of Shamrock Court at the Shannon Glenn Apartments, not far from Green River Road and Lincoln Avenue.
Firefighters tell us the fire started in one of the lower apartment units and that smoke ran up into the attic of the building to the third floor.
Fire crews say smoke and flames were visible from underneath the balcony. Everyone inside the building was able to get out safely with no injuries…
