HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) – A Henderson woman accused of fatally shooting her boyfriend in 2025 was sentenced to 12-years in prison earlier this week.
According to Commonwealth’s Attorney Herbert McKee Jr., Lauren Jarvis will serve 85% of her sentence before she will be eligible for parole following a plea deal. As part of that deal, Jarvis pleaded guilty to manslaughter and tampering with physical evidence.
McKee said the deal came after consultations with the sheriff’s office and the parents of the deceased, Patrick Ryan Jobe. The Henderson County Sheriff also testified in a preliminary hearing that there appeared to be no intentions to hurt or kill Jobe, and that it’s believed they were testing if the ballistic vest would stop the bullet…
