The University of Evansville is teaming up with Grace College to create a fast-track opportunity for students pursuing careers in athletic training and physical therapy. Under a new partnership announced this week, high-achieving Grace students will be able to apply for early admission into UE’s Master of Science in Athletic Training and Doctor of Physical Therapy programs after completing their sophomore year. School officials say students who maintain at least a three-point-five GPA will be eligible to apply for direct entry into the programs. The agreement allows up to five students each year into the athletic training program and up to three students into the physical therapy program, with admission based on GPA, interviews, and faculty recommendations. Students will complete a structured 62-credit curriculum during their first two years at Grace College, while advisors from both schools work together to ensure all prerequisite requirements are met.
