Free rideshare-style transit could soon come to Fort Bragg

FORT BRAGG — Fort Bragg leaders are optimistic that free transportation could soon be available on post, similar to a program already operating at Fort Hood, Texas.

During a May 5 State of Fort Bragg meeting, garrison commander Chad Mixon said Fort Bragg is working with the North Carolina Department of Transportation on a rideshare-style transportation program modeled after the system in use at Fort Hood.

“We see a bright future in terms of this on-demand transit initiative,” Mixon said.
