The Fayetteville Public Works Commission will spend $57.6 million across four years to bring power to an announced titanium manufacturing plant in north Fayetteville. According to a report from Myron Pitts at The Fayetteville Observer, this investment rebuilds 11 miles of subtransmission circuits, expands one substation, and constructs a new substation for the facility known as “Project Aero.”
American Titanium Metal LLC expects the plant to start operations by 2029. The facility will operate in a 500,000-square-foot space off Ramsey Street. Workers at the site will melt, roll, and finish titanium into usable products for aerospace companies and other industries.
