LELAND, N.C. (WECT) – The driver of a school bus that overturned on a U.S. 74 exit ramp Wednesday has been charged following a Leland Police Department investigation.
The 57-year-old driver faces misdemeanor charges of reckless driving with wanton disregard and exceeding a safe speed.
Police said the bus was traveling down the exit ramp from northbound U.S. 17 to westbound U.S. 74 when it entered a curve at a speed greater than the posted recommendation. The bus left the roadway, overturned, and came to rest partially in the road…
